The International Trade Fair Motek is the world's leading event for automation in production and assembly. As a unique industry platform, it represents the entire world of automation. As such, we presented from 7.10. - 10.10. in Stuttgart latest products and innovations from our small conveyor technology program:
Let the water flow
Whether water spray, dipping bath or oily environment, the FDA-compliant small conveyor belt FR-40-80-Q-P made of solid plastic and stainless steel does it all and was specifically developed for sensitive environmental conditions. It also meets all hygiene requirements, such as those required in food production.
Flexibility is the new standard
The new timing belts ensure the most efficient infeed and outfeed of parts. The timing belt with Sylomer coating, for example, allows bottles to be transported hovering between two conveyor belts - this enables gentle turning of bottles or labeling from below.
Meanwhile, the version with insert nuts and screw-on workpiece carriers has impressive flexibility and an attractive price-performance ratio in terms of 3D printing from Jomatik. The precisely fitting 3D printed workpiece carriers enable, among other things, the exact positioning of the transported goods in the production process. Both timing belts come with a motion controller by Faulhaber for bespoke control.
Quality with transmitted light
Vetter showed a small conveyor belt with integrated transmitted light field. The high-quality, durable LED panels come with corresponding controllers and ensure extremely short exposure times due to the huge illuminance levels. This allows image recognition and image processing during production without interfering reflexes and shadows. At Motek, Vetter demonstrated an application, in cooperation with VR Magic, which provides the corresponding camera and image recognition software.
