- Dirk Steinmann, Managing Director
The VETTER engineering office is founded by freelance engineer and designer Otto Vetter.
In September 1993, Vetter receives a bronze medal for his “motorless conveyor” at the “International Trade Fair – Ideas, Inventions, New Products” in Nuremberg.
In April 1994, a silver medal follows in Geneva.
Vetter’s actual success story begins at the Motek in September 1994. The engineer presents the initial FR-40-80 conveyor, which would serve as a basis for development of the subsequent series of small conveyors.
In January 2010, Vetter prepares the successor for his business operations and hires Dirk Steinmann, Graduate Engineer (BA) in Mechanical Engineering, for sales and technology. In the course of miniaturizing the conveyor belts, the mini conveyor FR-12-20 is created, the smallest conveyor in the world with internal drive.
In October 2011, Otto Vetter enters well-deserved retirement. Dirk Steinmann takes over the business and founds “Vetter Kleinförderbänder GmbH”.
In the first half of 2012, Steinmann hires additional staff for assembly and processing and moves with the company to larger premises in Beimerstetten.
At the end of the year 2012, Steinmann is already able to report revenue growth of 10 %.
This increase in revenue does not even include a major order, which puts the capabilities of the new managing director and his young team to the test.
A new, clear corporate design replaces the old image.
In spring 2020, the Vetter company move to the newly constructed business and production building in Westerstetten.
